33 Truths at Salvation for Every Believer

Glorified

Key Verse: Romans 8:30  ·  NASB1995

Key Verse

“and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.”

Romans 8:30

Paul’s astonishing tense here speaks of glorification as already accomplished, even though you haven’t yet experienced it in full — because in God’s purpose, it is as certain as anything already done.

Paul lists this in the past tense alongside “called” and “justified”: “these whom He justified, He also glorified” (Rom. 8:30). As far as God’s purpose is concerned, your future glorification is as settled as your past calling — described as already finished before you have experienced it, because in God’s reckoning the outcome is not in doubt.

Reflect

  1. How would it change a hard day to remember your glorification is, in God’s own reckoning, already as settled as your calling?
