What We Believe
We hold to the core truths that Christians everywhere have affirmed throughout history. On matters where sincere, Bible-believing Christians disagree on non-essential issues, there is room for differing convictions — as long as any interpretation never becomes a barrier to the ministry God has called us to — sharing the Gospel!
There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each fully possessing every attribute of deity and the fullness of personality.
Jesus Christ is God: the eternal Word who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He is fully God and fully man, united forever in one person.
Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly gave Himself as a substitute for our sins, dying on the cross to satisfy God's justice and accomplish salvation for all who trust in Him alone.
He rose bodily from the dead — the same body, now glorified — and ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father. As the only mediator between God and humanity, He continually intercedes for His own.
Adam and Eve were created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience, breaking fellowship with their Creator. That fall brought the whole human race under God's judgment.
As a result, human nature is corrupted, and no one is able, in their own strength, to please God. Every person needs to be made new by the Holy Spirit.
Salvation is entirely a work of God's grace — it is never earned or maintained through good works, personal goodness, or religious ritual. God credits His own righteousness to everyone who places their faith in Christ Jesus, the Son of God alone (John 3:16), and by that faith they are declared righteous in His sight and have the promise of eternal life!
Everyone who is born again by the Spirit has the privilege of knowing, from the moment they trust Christ as Savior, that they are saved. This assurance does not rest on anything we've done or doing — it comes from the Holy Spirit Himself, who confirms God's promise within the believer's heart through His written Word.
The Holy Spirit came into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply His saving work to individual lives. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, gives new life, and — from the moment of spiritual birth — indwells and seals every believer until the day of redemption. His fullness and power are received by faith.
Believers are called to walk in step with the Spirit's presence within them, turning away from sinful desires and bearing fruit for God's glory.
Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His body — made up of every person, living and departed, who has been joined to Him through saving faith. God calls His people to gather together regularly: to worship, to participate in the ordinances, to be built up through Scripture, and to encourage one another. (Acts 2:42)
When a believer dies, they enter immediately into conscious fellowship with the Lord and await the resurrection of the body to everlasting glory.
When an unbeliever dies, they enter immediately into conscious separation from the Lord and await the resurrection of the body to everlasting judgment.
Jesus Christ will return to earth — personally, visibly, and bodily — to bring history and God's eternal plan to their fulfillment.
The Lord Jesus Christ commanded every believer to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and make disciples of every nation. Fulfilling that commission means placing every worldly and personal ambition under a total commitment to “Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.”
