Luke 10:20 · NASB1995Philippians 3:20 states it plainly: “our citizenship is in heaven.” Ephesians 2:19 says you are now “fellow citizens with the saints,” and Hebrews 12:22 pictures you as having already “come to Mount Zion...the heavenly Jerusalem.” Jesus even redirects His disciples’ excitement in Luke 10:20 away from spiritual accomplishments and toward this very fact: “rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
